The prevalence of eating disorders in society is hard to ignore. As many as 10 million women and 1 million men in the United States alone have either anorexia or bulimia. – We take a look inside America’s college campuses, where eating disorders may affect up to 20% of its students. © nationale eating disorders

Many have disordered eating, are self concious, go through phases or follow trends to fit in. However there are fewer who are actually crazy ( with a serious mental illness) that takes control of their entire life. They are very different and yet people still dont understand that.

I didn’t have a problem with socializing at the U. I didn’t do it. I went to classes and studied and that was it.

Read Explaining colours to a blind man. Not only will it enlighten many as to what living with a mental illness and an eating disorder is like, it also gives comfort to those sufferers who think there is no hope and that they are alone. It is very informative, sometimes shocking but also very funny in parts. All in all, a good read and highly recommended.
